Estimate and compare cleaning costs
The same estimated workload is priced using a local requested rate and published agency prices.

Published-price calculations for Toronto
Each result uses that company's published point rate, documented minimum and stated tax treatment. It is a planning illustration, not a quote or a city median.
How is this calculated?
We first estimate total labour from rooms, bathrooms, area, cleaning type and condition. The NannyServices.ca scenario uses the local median requested rate. Agency calculations use each retained published company rate separately, including a documented minimum, booking fee, recurring rate and tax only where the source states them.
The workload model is a transparent planning assumption, not a calibrated prediction. Published agency observations still need confirmation for your exact address, scope, date and booking conditions.

Have these details ready
- Approximate floor area, bedrooms and bathrooms.
- The type of cleaning and current condition.
- Extras such as the oven, refrigerator or interior windows.
- Whether this is a single visit or a recurring arrangement.
- An actual quoted rate, if you want to test a provider’s offer.
You do not need to enter an address, create an account or provide an email to use the calculator.
Understand the three comparisons
Cleaning company: available company pricing for the selected market, adjusted for the relevant service, booking conditions and invoice taxes. When the evidence is limited, the calculator identifies a single-company reference or asks you to enter a quote.
Direct hire as self-employed: the agreed service rate, with the local median requested rate available as a starting benchmark. Sales-tax treatment must be confirmed with the cleaner.
Direct hire with payroll: the agreed gross wage plus employer costs. If the required payroll amounts are missing, the calculator will explain what is needed rather than show an incomplete total as final.
What the result means
Estimated cleaner-hours describe total labour, not a guaranteed appointment length. A four-cleaner-hour job might involve one cleaner for four hours or a team sharing the work. Actual efficiency, scope and minimum bookings can change the result.
The comparison is a planning tool. It does not confirm availability, reserve a cleaner or create a service quote. For how the data and formulas are handled, read our methodology.
If you are unsure which service to select, compare regular cleaning with deep cleaning before entering the details.
