Start with the surface and purpose
Identify the materials and their care instructions. A product suitable for one hard surface may not suit fabric, food-contact areas or a delicate finish.
Follow the directions on cleaning before application, dilution, application method, wet contact time and rinsing. A quick spray and immediate wipe may not match the labelled process.
Check Canadian authorisation

Ask specific questions
- Which surfaces are included?
- Which product will be used and what use is authorised?
- How will the required contact time be achieved?
- Does the intended surface use require rinsing?
- When can household members and pets use the area again?
These answers are more informative than an unsupported promise that a property will be “germ-free”.
Understand the price and limits
A defined disinfection process can require extra time, access restrictions or products. Ask how it changes the quote. It is not automatically implied by deep clean or eco clean.
