Kitchen
- Clear and clean the agreed accessible counter areas.
- Clean the sink and suitable surrounding surfaces.
- Wipe accessible appliance exteriors using the appropriate method.
- Clean the stovetop as agreed, once cool and safe to work on.
- Wipe visible spills from agreed cabinet fronts.
- Empty the kitchen bin and replace the liner if included.
- Vacuum or sweep, then clean the floor according to its material.

Bathrooms
- Clean basin and vanity surfaces.
- Clean the toilet, including the agreed exterior areas.
- Clean the bath or shower surfaces suitable for routine treatment.
- Wipe mirrors and accessible fixtures.
- Empty bins and replace liners if included.
- Clean the floor and reachable edges.
Flag damaged finishes, loose seals, leaks and visible mould instead of assuming harder scrubbing will solve them. See the bathroom checklist.
Bedrooms and living areas
- Dust accessible agreed surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs or clean hard floors appropriately.
- Wipe reachable marks on selected furniture exteriors where safe.
- Empty agreed bins.
- Make beds or change linen only if included.
- Return moved light items to their agreed places.
Tell the cleaner which objects must not be moved. Sorting papers, organising cupboards and decluttering collections are separate jobs.
Entryways and stairs
- Remove loose grit from suitable mats and floors.
- Clean the main walking surfaces.
- Wipe accessible handrails and agreed handles.
- Keep the route clear of items that prevent safe access.
Choose a surface-compatible method rather than using the same product across every finish.
Optional or rotating work
Baseboards, doors, reachable light fittings, appliance interiors, interior windows and a less-used room can be added to a rotation. Record how often each task should be done and whether it increases the appointment time.
Outside this checklist
Heavy moving, exterior high-access work, construction waste, pest treatment, hazardous contamination and restoration need a separate scope and an appropriately equipped provider.
